BIOGRAPHY

As the leader of Issues Management Group’s crisis practice, T.J. is regularly relied upon for his counsel on many delicate and high-profile issues including those involving litigation support, industrial accidents, DEI, executive misconduct, Title IX, and leadership transitions. This work is performed on behalf of publicly traded companies, small businesses, prestigious nonprofits, independent schools, colleges, and universities.

Across Issues Management Group’s corporate, real estate, and mission-focused practices, T.J. oversees media strategy and drives results, conducts high-level writing and content editing, and leads communications trainings.

T.J. is the author of Reputation Capital: How to Navigate Crises and Protect Your Greatest Asset, published by Berrett-Koehler in 2022. In addition, his insights have been featured in Forbes, PR Week, PR News, and O’Dwyer’s. He has presented at the annual meeting of NAICU (the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities), the annual meeting the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), before the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.

Prior to the firm, T.J. was a correspondent for ABC News. During his five years at the network, he reported across platforms including NewsOne, Nightline, World News and Good Morning America. Before ABC News, he was a reporter and anchor at WBZ-TV in Boston.

T.J. sits on the Board of Directors and the Executive Council of Northeast Arc, an organization whose goal is to ensure that children and adults with disabilities are able to live, work and engage in civic life and play in the community.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Colby College, from which he graduated with honors. T.J. and his family live north of Boston.
