We recently had the pleasure of speaking with the highly accomplished, ice cream aficionado Jay Ash on our & Then Some podcast. Jay is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, a non-partisan, nonprofit organization focused on policies and initiatives that make the local economy stronger and more competitive. Prior to his current role, Jay served as the Commonwealth’s Secretary of Housing and Economic Development in Governor Charlie Baker’s first cabinet, and was the City Manager for his hometown of Chelsea for 15 years.
During our discussion, Jay shared with us how he learned to embrace and appreciate the Twitter community, how he became known for enjoying a nearly daily ice cream frappe while working as a member of the Baker Administration, and—most importantly—what he and his partners are aiming to achieve through their work at the Mass Competitive Partnership.
